HYDIS is dedicated to protecting the health and safety of its employees.
Exceeding the local and international standards, our health and safety policy
involves the cooperation of all employees at all levels. Supervisors must be aware of potential work hazards. Potentially harmful substances must be tracked. Proactive behavior is desirable including regular health exams and the clearing of any workplace hazards. An emergency plan, a post-accident investigation, and reoccurrence preventing measures are also in place.
Health and Safety Monitoring System
This system monitors all hazardous areas, 24 hours a day. Using CCTVs, an online broadcasting system, a toxic gas monitoring system and a fire sensor system, this process meets the “Preparations and Management of Emergency” section of ISO 14001.
Health and Safety Information System
An in-house computer network is used to collect all information concerning the health and safety of our employees. This allows the company to develop new educational material; Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS); biorhythm information; and risk management programs.
Process Safety Management (PSM) System
Since 1996, HYDIS has operated a PSM system to identify potentially dangerous facilities and processes. By systemizing technical data and plans, appropriate actions can be taken to prevent possible dangers.
Inspecting the Work Environment
The company carries out a full facility inspection twice annually. Some of the things this inspection covers are noise levels, organic solvents, radiation and lighting. After the inspection, a report is issued and necessary improvements are made.
Clinics and Fitness Clubs
To maintain the well being of our employees, 24-hour clinics and fitness clubs are available on every site. The clinics offer basic medical care, general check-ups and health counseling, and are operated in cooperation with a general hospital. The fitness clubs are used by employees to maintain good health, and used by the company to perform physical fitness exams.
Incentives
Incentives are provided to employees for contributing to the improvement of health and safety management. |
